Ender's Game! LOVE that book. The enemy's gate is down!
And I'm so pleased by the fan effort to buy Firefly for Nathan Fillion! I hope it works. And that makes me want to read Rothfuss' books -- I just realized I have Name of the Wind sitting on my bookshelf but I haven't read it! *adds to to-read pile*
!!!! I hate that I waited so long to finish it. But I was just never in the mood for it until the other night, which I guess is for the best. I'm definitely going to have to re-read it some day because I, for the most part, forgot who most of the characters mentioned in the last 80-some pages were. Well, besides Anderson and of course the ~famous Mazer. Anyway, love love loved it!
Right? And btw, The Name of the Wind is Pat's only book. His first and only [until next Tuesday], which is partially why it's been such a big deal in the world of Fantasy novels; it's such an epic debut. p.s. Have you read any Carol Berg? This Rothfuss fan mentioned her in the comments section of a Rothfuss interview/The Wise Man's Fear review. I'm planning on picking up Berg's first book this weekend if I can find it. Just curious if you're familiar.
Definitely reread! The end is even nicer when you recognize everyone he starts getting support from. (though I may be mixing it up with Enders Shadow, which tells the same story from Bean's POV.
No, never heard of Carol Berg, but I'll add her to my "must check out at some point" list. :)
