Reason For Apping: See, Toph was the first of everything and what made me fall into this horrible trap of apping. I have no real reason as to why I apped her. I'd been audience for AGES (on and off, but yes, ages) before I apped Toph, and I. I had myself convinced that I couldn't handle apping due to my EPIC FAIL at writing! However, it was quite normal to occasionally get these thoughts of apping certain characters, and one day during one of these fits I thought to myself, "Hey, Toph would be awesome in camp, especially since she's blind and different from anyone in camp." And then I realized that HEY maaaaybe I could play Toph. She's a kid. She says what's on her mind. I can handle her thought processes. Maybe I could do this. And maybe, by getting in, I'd also get over that crippling fear that I might be too obnoxious as an audience outsider. So I placed a comment in the beta-whoring post, wrote my app, got shot down by betas, rewrote it and got in.
Select Option 3? Now that I look back at it, my app sucked. UHM!!1 I have no real idea of how I managed to get in, but if I didn't get in on my first try I would probably have not ever tried again. So... yes. ♥ Toph is still awesome, and I have the best castmates ever, and I would never forget how o_sarchasm CAPSLOCKED AT ME at the start and made me feel very welcome and aksbdfksdf ♥ I also had app hilarity about my identity but Juri might :( at me. |Db

Reason For Apping: Before I apped Bloo, I was already whoring for Foster's in camp in those posts. I talked to a couple of people who knew Foster's about how awesome it would be if Bloo came to camp-- I had fun imagining his reactions to stuff! I could hear Bloo's voice at the back of my head-- and then I REALIZED I COULD. Meaning that I could play him. Probably. And there was a Mac and enabling happened and poof, I ended up in camp with him~
Reason For Dropping: The Foster's cast had been contemplating dropping in December, but a love meme made us think again! Back then we were having trouble with bringing our kids out-- Bloo, in particular for me, formed no relationships. It made it difficult for me to want to bring him out at times, but I still had his voice, so I wasn't so sure I wanted to drop him. So with the love meme, I kept Bloo for 3 more months-- he came out here and there, and was around to post/co-post 2 or so more posts. In the last month I had him, though I just didn't feel like bringing him out at all. When I did, I realized I was in a horrible state with him: I couldn't think of his reactions at all. A weekend after that, I spoke to Mac and Goo, and we dropped them.
Select Option 3? It's hard to pick my favourite Bloo thread. I have so many special threads with him, like dotting with Setsuna and telling Shindou Hikaru to put it in in code and Orlando Bloo with Will and that cartoonphysics thread with Mac and actually a whole lot of Mac threads and... god the list goes on. I. I love the guy and will be SUPER SAD when his time comes and I drop him.

Reason For Apping: ... So there's this story about superbeastly bugging me EVERY SINGLE DAY ("TOPH TOPH READ AIR GEAR") for awhile to read (and app) Air Gear. And so I did. SO MANY CHAPTERS. I got to the Behemoth arc and was on the lookout for people to app, but no one really stood out for me. And then I continued reading since I COULD, and then... Kanon appeared. On first impressions, Kanon amused me for his mannerisms and music markings in his speech bubbles (hellooooo inner music geek). Then he pulled that thing with Ringo and Ikki and I thought he was fabulous. I decided I'd wait and maaaaaaaybe app, but no promises! Because I didn't think I could pull Kanon off, especially since I had an app that bombed before him. parttime_fang deserves a special mention here because I fangirled Kanon with her, and she kept SUBTLY EGGING ME ON ("Toph toph Kanon is REALLY BADASS IN THIS NEW CHAPTER. I WONDER ABOUT HIS ABILITIES. Also in the next panel it looks like Agito's going to go for you." "... what 'you'" "8D" "... s-s-sob").
Select Option 3? toxicological also deserves a special mention here. I hadn't intended to app Kanon in the round that I apped him; it was Ivy who, on the day before apps opened, mentioned having a character to app but damn that thing called app writing. So I kind of decided to APP LAST MINUTE and we would BOTH WRITE OUR APPS LAST MINUTE and spur each other on with that! ... A-and I got pretty spurred on and managed to complete an app for Kanon (I-ivy I don't think you ended up apping that round, right? T^T), even though I was still working on when the apping round opened.

Reason For Apping: See, after I apped Kanon, I half-jokingly decided I'd try for a different stereotype each time I apped. So by then, I'd gotten my sarcastic blind girl (who was my primary), my cracktastic obnoxious non-human, and a hot boy who was more than what he seemed. And I thought: "now I need a sweet girl". Though I wasn't really serious about it at that point of time.
What happened was that I topped myself into apping Merry. I don't think anyone was expecting me to app Merry, though I ever did mention before on the chan that I liked Count Cain. Count Cain is an oooold series for me; I first got into it... 5 years ago? Hm? I've always liked it! When aquatofana first got in with Cain, I was pretty much ":D!" about a Count Cain character being in camp, but didn't think about apping Merry AT ALL. Less than a week before apps opened, I was in school one day looking at Cain's icons, when I saw this icon of Merry kissing Cain on the cheek and was like, "awwww. Someone should app Merry." because I always did love their relationship. And then realized that I could play her. And then I just went for it, since it was highly unlikely that I'd be able to find another sweet girl who was adorable and yet had a mind of her own that was from a series I liked.
Select Option 3? Merry... surprised me when I started playing her. If I didn't have 4 characters, I would have started spamming with her a lot more, like I did when I first got Toph in. I didn't think a girl with no abilities and wasn't really actively funny at all could keep me interested, especially since I had more-or-less been bringing "different" characters to camp (Toph was blind/an earthbender, Bloo was... Bloo, Kanon was an odd guy that spoke with musical markings) and Merry was mostly simply a sweet girl! It's hard to say what are my favourite Merry threads. She's got potential to be a primary, because she's a constant, versatile sort. And she formed relationships REALLY FAST-- faster than Toph, even, because Toph is far more abrasive. Mmn~ I did enjoy aging Merry up.
