My class president ignored any request to put on a HS reunion for my year. I didn't have Facebook back then so I used a combination of Friendster and My Space to contact some people, managed to snag about ten people from my class and we just hung out at a local bar/restaurant. It was alright, some good some so-so; I wouldn't say that I had a huge amount of interest in seeing most of those people but more along the lines of interest in the idea of a reunion. However, I did get in touch with some people that I didn't think I'd still be talking to like four years later.

My college reunion is coming up next month, now that's a professionally put together reunion. We'll see how that goes :P

I have absolutely no interest in going to a reunion, high school, college, or otherwise. I'd prefer a convention instead. :)

High school was something I was forced to go to against my will. Twenty years later, I STILL suffer from resentment issues stemming from being bullied and harassed in school. Overall it was a miserable experience with a few bright spots. Why on Earth would I deliberately go back to see those fuckers?

The only people I would desire to see again would be a couple of teachers whom I would like to thank for making it bearable. I actually tried that last year only to find one retired and the other moved on.

I certainly didn't have as bad of a time in high school as you did, but I'm still not eager to go back and see people that I was content to leave behind as I moved on. The main reason why high school annoyed me was because everyone there was so immature.

But, I would agree, there were a few teachers that I would love to see again. Two of which I had a crush on while at school. ;)

My $0.02. I liked high school MUCH better than middle school, so I had no real resentment over it and went without much prodding.

But I already went to my 10-yr reunion (don't even talk to ME about feeling old), and honestly, all I can say is it's too early and not really worth it. Everyone's still adjusting to their careers, hardly anyone was married, and most people looked pretty much the same--one girl had become extremely hot, and one friend had put on a lot of weight, and that was about it. Queries about life mostly resulted in mutterings about the rat race.

So it wasn't really exciting. I think the 20-yr reunion is a much better time period for interesting stories/successes/spouses/drama to accumulate. And I recall one comment I heard recently "who needs reunions? That's what Facebook is for."

I can tell you how my reunion would go if I showed up. 90% of the people there will be talking about church related stuff, showing off there brood of children (most having 2+ kids at this point), and trying to force conversation with each other about things they don't care about. Well, maybe that's just me.... ;)

I went to my 10-year. It was ok. People loved that I came because I brought a bunch of photo albums and year books. It was nice to say "Hi" with my old crew even though I parted ways as soon as I left for college. My 25 reunion was a couple of years ago. I had absolutely no desire to go.

I was just found by a high school acquaintance a few months ago. I saw that she was a avid Star Trek geek so I told her that I was a furry. She thought that was cool. *lol*

Hold on, some more gray is showing on your muzzle. Let me see if I can cover that up. ;)

I was found by a foreign exchange student who I befriended during my junior year of high school. It was good to hear from here and get an update on how she is, since she was a totally cool person. Though, what was funny was that she remembered something from 9 years ago that I totally forgot about. I made up something called "Happy Thoughts Day," which took place on every Thursday. Don't ask me why, I thought up some random stuff at that time. :p

Didn't go. Didn't want to. A few friends got together in town and had a fun time at a bar...lots had come to town for that. Alas I was out of the state at the time.

The only people I would want to socialize with are those that I have already kept in contact with. So, we can go out to the bar any time we want.....though I'm always the DD. :p
