Excellent, excellent work. I adore this: Charles covers a hand over his face and is moaning things into his palm that Erik can’t hear, but he can barely hear anything over the sounds of the blood rushing in his ears and his heart pounding in his chest. He’s never needed anyone like this before. He’s never needed anyone like he needs Charles.

What a lovely image - and the whole of number eight just broke me in so many pieces.

I love this kind of formatting and I really enjoyed this. Well done. :)

Thank you! I'm so happy you liked it. :)

And you definitely picked out my favorite line and favorite number immediately haha. 8 was supposed to be the most powerful but nobody seemed to notice. Glad you did.

It is totally the most powerful - love is dangerous and terrifying and the fact that they both admit it at that particular moment - great choice. Love it.

Look forward to reading more from you. :))))

Okay, I officially love your writing. You capture the little nuances of personalities so beautifully and it's all so quietly intense. Really lovely!

Thank you so much!

I'm glad you liked it, I was nervous about the formatting of it all. Their relationship is fun to recreate. YET my desire to slap Erik in the head like THIS IS WHY YOU CANT HAVE NICE THINGS is still strong.

Guuuhhh I know, these two fools break my heart constantly. But I wouldn't have it any other way!

Erik puts his fingers to his temple. “Him,” he says and Charles follows his line of sight to a man in the corner who is rubbing his potbelly and looking wistfully out the window. Erik closes his eyes and frowns, pretending to read his mind. “He is thinking about how he is going to explain the baby to his wife.”

I loved all the other parts, loved loved, but I seriously almost spit tea on my monitor at this, thank you.
