those of you with treos - what happens if you go to http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&output=html from your phone?

as of some time this afternoon, google appears to have decided to think for me, and is redirecting that URL / the Classic link on their mobile page to http://www.google.com/m/ig. :( Do Not Want ( Read more... )

It doesn't redirect me, but I don't know what it's supposed to look like. Is it still broken? At the bottom of that page though, I see "View Google in: Mobile | Classic". Mobile is a hyperlink, and Classic is just bold text. I like it better when I click on the Mobile link...

all better now. thanks for testing it for me, tho! hearing that it still worked for others is what led me to finally try rebooting my phone.

i like the classic interface because you can go to all the various options (images, news, advanced) from it. also, search results seem to show up in a different order on mobile than on classic, so if i look for a recipe while traveling and then use the same search from my laptop, i'll know which entry i want...

Mine (Treo Pro running Win mobile...yes, I went over to the dark side) comes out fine too. I'll have to say that I actually prefer the mobile version too, tho. No scrolling that way.

gaah! my condolences. ;) yeah, mobile is simpler, but classic is more flexible - also, i like getting the same results order on my phone as on my PC. thanks for checking it!

Just tried it, and it doesn't redirect me. Pulling up each of those links in sequence on my 700p show markedly different pages.

Works fine for me. So it's just your fault.
