You are not on AIM so I will tell you right now I am so very glad you're okay and all together **hug**

When my dad spun out two winters ago, and saw an oncoming semi truck about to hit the jeep square in the passenger-side door, he told me he didn't actually feel any of that exaggerated panic you read about in books or see in movies and TV dramas; he had time to get through a flat "oh sh-" before impact, and then the jeep skidded into a ditch instead of crumpling or rolling over and he was okay. Might be that pulling into the moment-to-moment awareness is a defense mechanism? That if either of you had had more time to react, you might have driven out of harm's way instead of sitting frozen with the fear your bodies wouldn't allow him to feel?

Just a thought, anyway. Take it easy, hun.
