Hmmm. Chocolate, exercise, humor, and SLEEP. I seem to short myself on the last one. My job can be uber stressful, and exercise puts me in a good mood. (I'm telling the truth! Besides, my exercise is karate class.) Think of it this way: if you DON'T get out of that mood, and it causes your grades to drop, think of how bad THAT will be. My dad used to tell me before a race, "That pain is only temporary, but if you don't give it your all, you'll regret that much longer."
Good luck to you Amy, you're smart. You'll be just fine!
Thanks. Your so sweet. ^_^ I'm on spring break this week and I'm trying to get some homework done ahead of time so that way, I can procrastinate the rest of the semester and it won't be as bad. I have to agree with you on the chocolate, exercise, humor, and sleep. The sleep though can be hard to come by. Oh, and thanks for the advice that your dad gave you. That is very true and I never thought about it that way before. Thanks. I really appreciate this. You are very sweet. ^_^
Sleeping and spending a lot of time by myself doing my own thing help me overcome my cranky moods.
I've been trying to remember how I handled senioritis. I think I just gave in to the "disease" and skipped classes and procrastinated too much; yet, I still managed to accomplish a lot in my last semester. I don't really know how that worked out.
Maybe just knowing that it is your last semester and you won't have to work on projects for much longer can help give you that "umph" to just get through it. Also, remember to enjoy yourself because it is last your last semester and you deserve to have some fun.
It's funny how the semesters that I didn't do much are the ones I seem to do pretty good in and I get a lot accomplished in. I hope this one is like that. ^_^ I definately think I just need a day to be completely alone without working on my homework. I think that day might be Fridayish so maybe that will calm my crankiness and get me going again with classes next week. Thanks for this. I really appreciate it. Your very sweet. I hope things are good there. ^_^
I would say the most important thing is making sure you do something for yourself. Pamper yourself in some way. Taking a walk always helps me. :)
I agree with Kimberly about the senioritis. There's no good way except for keeping your head down and pushing through. You can do it!!! It's almost over!!!
The worst part about it is that I keep looking at a degree that I would like to comeback someday and get. However, i would have to go through this again....talk me out of it. LOL, jj. I'm just going to do what I have to do and hopefully that will be enough to get me through. Oh, and I definately am going to pamper myself this weekend. It's my spring break but it doesn't really start for me until after tomorrow. I can't wait to sleep in past 6 am. It sucks getting up on spring break at 6. The way I pamper myself is during the winter when it's just too cold for me to be comfortable outside, I watch tv whenever I want instead of just watching a show and then walking away from the tv(don't get very much of a chance to watch tv cause my roommates either have it or when I go home, my aunt has it.) In the summer though, I go outside and either pull weeds, walk around the yard/pond/fields/wherever I feel up to going. My goal this summer is to drive out to the lake more and walk along the dam or on paths. Oh, and to learn how to
( ... )
Unfortuntly, I have to agree with Kimberly and Ann. I slacked off even more than usual my last semester. I don't know how I graduated really! But you are way more motivated than I ever was, so I know you can do it. Whenever I feel cranky, I look at pictures of my niece or nephew, or pictures of friends. It's hard to be cranky when you are looking at a picture of a 2 yr old eating a powdered doughnut or a picture of Ann "swimming" on the floor. :D Just hang in there, it will be over before you know it!
Awe, your so sweet. Thanks. um.....Can I see the picture of Ann sometime "swimming" on the floor? I have one of Ann dancing with a stocking and the infamous picture of me the day after our junior year prom. My aunt keeps a copy of it in her car so that when she has a bad day, she can just take a look at it and an instant laugh. At first I didn't show it to anyone cause it looked horrible but now I have no problem showing it to anyone. That is....after I find it....I think it's a bookmark in one of my books.....somewhere. Anyways, I think pictures help a ton when it comes to relaxing cause it takes you back to better times and makes you think and laugh about what happened. Oh, and my motivation....it disappeared. I'm thinking it went to relax and will come back right when I need it (or not, whatever). Just so long as I pass my classes and graduate, I'm good. LOL. Thank you again.
