I feel like writing a programme - but - I don't know what I should base it upon. I havent written one for a while. If anyone has any suggestions or *wishes* they could do such and such on their computer, post your ideas.
P.S. Windows platform :P

I want a series of webservices to control things at home from work.
I also want a small simple client to relay msn messages from home to work via port 80 in packets that dont look suspicious to a proxy..
Database driven personal cd database, with auto cddb.. and flagging for illegal copies...
I really cant think of much else right now.
Im going to get into webservices soon.

your second idea is doable I think. Were you thinking of a client on both sides that sits ontop of messenger on both sides and encrypts MSN packets sent over the internet?
I think a cd database of your description already exists. but - if it doesnt, I could make a program which could integrate with Access (for the database retreiving/storing). And the CDDB feature would be built into the program itself. Or, I could make it to build a database purely in the program itself. though there's alot of different methods of databases. Let me know if you have one in mind :P

Use access, mysql, maybe mssql express?
Webservices are not that much effort. They are the same as any other program. You just dont have a visual interface, its like functions over the web. Pretty damned cool methinks.

Webservice, Aspx, or custom via tcp/ip..
Adobe costs LOTS and the tools for free Pdf creation are annoying.
If you can find something that analyses the document/image and then creates a decent pdf.. you could then produce a good product which people could actually.. *drumroll* ... USE!
Yep thats right.
