Im using Gaim on Ubuntu, so this is no real use to me as actual actions...
Mine is working fine right now. I have just changed the way it is connecting anyway because it is screwingup on occasion.

Cheers anyway

No probs.

Just out of curiousity, does Ubuntu/linux use somthing similar to a hosts file like windows does?

Sure does. Check out /etc/hosts should be the same on any linux distro.
If you want a different hosts file per user, I dont know, but I am sure it can be done.. its linux for christs sake :)

But if I were to change the way msn was connecting, gaim has a field for it in the account setup, so you can change it there.

Think we could get people using another protocol?
Jabber? Googletalk?

"Us mac users" is a brave generalisation.. assuming you are like other mac users.

Do you feel elite?
Better than others?

Unreasonable superiority does annoy me. If you are to gain some superiority, please let it be over knowledge, not over a purchase.

Just because I buy a Lamborgini, does not make me a good driver.. not that Macs are the computer's sports car anyway.

fanboy..

(appologies, not a great mood)
