Quite a week...

Dad's funeral was simple yet touching, just as he would have liked. We go together to pick out the headstone on Thursday, after which we will go for the reading of the will. I will not be contesting the will, even though I KNOW it will be unfairly leaving everything to my youngest brother, with no consideration to the other 3 children. To me, it ( Read more... )

I know this will be a difficult Samhain for you. Having lost my father and all my grandparents, I can relate, though I would not diminish your feelings at all. They are difficult.

You have friends and loved ones and other family in Minneapolis and all over the country - I send my support, and I'm so sorry.

If staying is an option in your schedule and the only holding you back is your flight itinerary, you might check with the airline for their bereavement clause. Many airlines will waive, or partially waive the fee for changing your ticket due to death of immediate family.
