Sorry it's so hard. Remember that the steps you are taking make things better in the long-term. You are still in the short-term and it's normal to be plagued by what you've been describing. If fully believe that once you work through more of the physicological stuff you may find an improvement in the Fibro. Our body is related to our emotions.
Hang in there with the fight for SSDI they always turn you down the first time, especially for Fibro. We go through that every several years when we have to re-apply for Gene's. I also have a couple of friends who are on it because of severe depression. Unfortunately they do not make it a very friendly process if that is the problem. It only tends to drive people in to a deeper depression when they get turned down and now have to find more energy to fight for it. My thoughts are with you. Keep up the good work it might not seem like you have accomplished much but from what I see you saying you have accomplished a lot towards helping yourself heal.
Keep up the work - really. I'm doing some of that kind of stuff, myself (though I'm sure my life has not been nearly as difficult as yours, I'm just not wired really well - lots of anxiety here).
Anyway, I am pulling for you. Like everyone else said, don't give up on SSDI. Also, don't give up on the Disability Insurance. There was recent parity legislation (embedded in some other bill) so that as long as there is some kind of physical thing with the depression, anxiety or such (that is, it requires meds to manage it) it should fall under insurance coverage.
I might be thinking of different insurance.
Still, if you feel that you're being tossed aside, call the insurance company, as for another review. If you get nowhere, call the MN Dept of Insurance. Severe depression IS the kind of thing that should qualify for disability benefits.
First of all, don't try to hide things from your therapist. They are trying to give you the keys to a happier life.
Sweetie, you need to go though the crud before it gets better. I am sorry but the therapy sometimes things get more difficult while you work through things. BUT it does get better.
Keep pushing, keep up the fight. We are on your side. Take the info the others have given you and keep trying.
SSDI and insurance rarely are a go on the first time. Do you have a well for others to put Reiki energy in for you to draw from? Please let us help you with this...
