 So, I'm going to create a filter for specifically autism-related stuff.  It'll be an opt-in filter, so let me know if you'd like to be included on that list as I realize that it's not something everyone will care to read.  I imagine many of those posts might be rather dull and statistical ( Read more... )

Well, it's certainly a completely new concept to me - I've never heard anyone learning to ride like that. You have 'stabilisers' as they're called here (training wheels you'd call them) but as soon as you have mastered the concepts of brakes, gears etc - they come off and you learn balance proper.

I think I was around the same age when my brother got bored and decided to take my training wheels off, took some getting used to but was worth it. If he's ready to try hes ready to learn :)

He wants to ride so bad, but I think there's just too much for him to manage and he gets frustrated, so this might be a better choice for him.
