Summary: Jinki cries because he just doesn't fit the requirements.
It is a little too late when Jinki realizes that he was in love with him.
Jonghyun is in front of the mirror, fixing his new shirt he just bought (because it just has to be new, you must dress to impress) and so he does. He fixes his hair as he sings into the mirror, occasionally asking Jinki - this is probably the 5985498 times - do I look good? And Jinki has to refrain from saying all the time because he doesn’t want to hear that loud, obnoxious laugh from Jonghyun because he knows something.
Jinki knows that he just might fall deeper into this pit of darkness he calls love. (he should be happy, right?) - wrong.
Jinki..hello? He snaps from his daze and stares at him for a second, only to smile that warm and welcoming friendly smile that everyone knows. Showing his perfect teeth and suppressing the feelings that are battling within him. Yeah, you look fine.
It is a simple “yeah, you look fine” but behind it, it means so much more.
So when Jonghyun says his farewell to his roommate, Jinki he looks ready to take on the world. He has a million dollar smile and he is ready for his date. He described her. She is quiet and shy and just his type. He recalls Jonghyun saying she fits my requirements. And that sentence plays over in Jinki’s head like a broken record. It won’t stop and it keeps going.
He is kind of use to this by now. Well, at least he should be. He should be used to the silent tears that run down his face. But no matter how many times it happens, it always seems like the first.
All because he doesn’t fit the requirements.
