So much for a meaningful relationship where both parties contribute...
I have a strong feeling that this was written either by one guy or by a group of guys!!! This is definitely very idealist/fantasyist from a male perspective.
i showed this to my "good 1950's" mother-in-law, and she was pretty certain it's faked. She said they got advice *almost* like that. A good homemaker makes sure that the home is warm, inviting, comfortable for her husband to come home to ... but without the really sexist stuff. "You have no right to question him"? "His topics of conversation are more important"? Hardly.
i'm pretty certain i've heard that this is a page from an old Home Ec textbook with additions. AND i'm certain that the first time i saw it, it wasn't nearly as "blatant". Someone must have thought that the original didn't get the "submissive women are doormats" point across well enough! *LOL*
