Well, today is going to be VERY interesting......I'm going to rebuild part of my front porch. There are some fairly precise cuts that have to be made to a couple of 4X4's. Luckily, I have the originals, though rotted beyond salvation, to use as templates. I need hawkhandsaw to come down and point and laugh as I desperately try to keep from chopping

I'm sorry to hear that in spite your efforts, this person you care about is not pushing him/herself. Sometimes that's how it goes... I hope that it's just a time issue, and that when the right time comes he/she will be able to use everything learned from you and reach a bit higher...

Ana, I just want you to know that encouragement coming from you is greatly appreciated and is not taken lightly. I believe that our paths are guided by a Higher Power and we've been used quite often to bolster each other's spirits. I just hope that I can help you as much as you help me.

Yes, hopefully, he/she (terribly ambiguous, I know) will take the gift that is offered and cherish it as I cherish the gifts given to me. So many people go through life ignoring the plight of others. I pray that I never let myself fall to that level. I know that I'm sometimes flippant in my humor but I really don't mean any harm, I just think that we all need to lighten up and not take ourselves so seriously...especially me!

Yes, good luck with your porch.

If it's any consolation, I'm doing a lot better. I got up at 9 am today, which, while not exciting to anyone else, is a major coup for me.

Life is starting to straighten itself out and I'm kind of glad for that. I'm not 100%, but you know, I no longer have as heavy a burden. You have helped with that and I thank you for it :)

At any rate, in regards to your friend, I'm sure it will work out. It usually does :)

I'm glad you're conquering your demons one at a time. That's really the best way. You know I'm always here if you need me...albeit slow on the reply sometimes...I've been REALLY busy but I know you understand.

I hope your life gets so good that you'll have to break a nail just to have a disaster!
