Ever hear of the writer Neil Gaiman?

Give this a read, it might disturb you. Or it might amuse you.

My point exactly......

I understand women's concerns about unwanted pregnancies....but there's got to be a better way.

Why can't we revere life in our society? Why can't we adopt out unwanted children and assist mothers that want to keep their babies?

I'd rather support a welfare system that preserves life, giving us a healthy, young population as opposed to a "family planing" system that kills the future work force.

Thanks for the site info...I'll pass it on to my friends.

Don't you just love a good 'dark future' fiction piece? Soyulent Green and Logans Run are some of my favorite stories ( ... )

the issue is really irrelivant to the decision, honestly. the issue at hand is 'should it be the place of the federal government to intervene in the laws of florida?' for right or wrong, that answer should be no ( ... )

I agree with all that you say...except when it comes to "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness".

We're guaranteed that by the Constitution.

Thanks for the comment, though.

yes, i understand that, but here is a question...

If you or someone you love is in an accident, disease, etc where you are in pain, a vegetable, or living in a state where you dont want to live, or are watching your spouse live in a state that they dont want to live, where you are LEGALLY their spouse and speak with their voice in all matters where they cant, who makes the decision to keep you alive and in pain against your will? your spouse, who by the laws of your state speaks for you, or the Government?

Damn, the US government is scary letting a husband decide whether his wife should live or die.

For future reference people:

Hook me up
Plug me in
And for God's sake, don't let anyone convince you that I want to die.

That man is a murderer...and so is whoever decided that she shouldn't be allowed to live. How do these people live with themselves? "Hi Honey, I just murdered a helpless person today. All through the proper legal channels of course. Where's my kiss? Why are you running away?"

He should divorce her and let her parents love her until she dies....

Who does it hurt to let her live?

I don't think the kids today pay any attention, truthfully.
We'll do what we darn well please, regardless of what you "think" you're teaching us.

LOL.

But, then again, isn't that how it's always been?

Since you didn't comment on my entry, I'm a bit confused as to whether you disagree, or you just used my last entry to communicate....

Either way, it's cool.

Yeah, I started out much the way have....joined a band, wrote what I heard in my head and did my best to avoid the demons trying to kill me before all of the hormone pumps cut back (they never actually stop).
Get through school, go to college, major in music with a minor in music business. You'll meet some amazingly talented people that way....some that will make you wonder why you even try to play, they seem so effortless. Learn from them.

Got to run....stay in touch.

Stick with it!

Steve
