Piper had just left the restaurant and didn't especially feel like going home. That would be why she was outside House's apartment, knocking on the door.

House answered his door and raised an eyebrow.

"This is unexpected," he said, stepping back as a manner of invitation.

Piper shrugged and wandered inside. "Didn't feel like going home."
