Linfield

Linfield accepted me today. I think I am a bit under-enthused about it. My parents got really excited, I tried to smile. The good news is I no longer have to worry about U of O. The bad news is Linfield was my third choice out of four. The campus at Linfield is barren. Ah well. Willamette remains my top choice.

Matt. Screw Oregon schools, man, come with me to Western Washington. Yeah, do it! Oh, wait, I haven't been accepted (yet). Well, we're going to go up there anyway, ok? How's that sound?

Congratulations, again!! But that isn't bad news, dude, that Linfield is your third choice. It just so happened that Linfield was the first one to reply back. You're going to get into all the schools you applied to. Like Molly said, this is just the first of many acceptances. This is nothing to be disappointed about. This is great! And I know, college is scary and right now everything is so perfect and who wants to start over or move on? But Matt, you're going to succeed so much in college and then beyond. And although everyone may spread out, you are going to have all your friends still, and make new ones, and have freedoms, and finally, FINALLY you are going to be challenged in school. Deep down, no one wants to go to college. But it is part of life. We can't live with our parents forever.
