Yeah, I saw the Steam release email. I just shrugged, closed the email, and went back to doing other things, and pretty much completely forgot/ignored the news, until I saw your post here just now ( ... )

If they mean the same thing that Project Diva F 2nd did, then the "6 months" refers to how long it will take all the DLC associated with the season pass to slow-drip out. Make no mistake that odds are all that DLC is probably already completed - as was the case in Project Diva where they had 6 months to slowdrip out 100+ dollars of DLC that had already been released in japan iirc (japan got the game about a full year I believe before NA as per the usual with these games.)

It might or might not mean all the DLC will be released by then however.

Odds are the DLC you see above is part of the season pass - it's just the portion that's been slowdripped out already since june. This of course assumes they're not totally morally bankrupt of course.

It makes me wonder if all of this DLC isn't actually the other meaning of DLC, i.e. Disc Locked Content, as opposed to the usual meaning, i.e. Downloadable Content. (If it is, though, I figure it would have already been sniffed out by now, and I haven't heard anything about it for this particular game. But then, you know how very little I bother with video game news these days overall, so that's not saying much. ¬_¬) As far as a digital download from Steam or wherever would be concerned, however, I suppose that issue is already a matter of six of one half a dozen of the other. *shrug*

This is, of course, assuming that all of Arkham Knight is even on the physical disc to begin with, as opposed to mostly or completely not on the disc at all, as is the case with Metal Gear or Minecraft Story Mode or whatever else.

At this point, I can pretty much only assume that it's necessarily going to be one of those extremes or the other, given how badly the modern video game industry behaves in general these days. ¬_¬

Looks like at least some of that shit is indeed already in the files of the PC version, apparently.

Unless they re-issue discs for the PC version, odds are there's lots of the newly released game not on the disc. After all some of the things wrong with the original PC release included missing assets iirc.
