Steam Summer Sale

So, the first Steam Summer Sale with Valve's new sale format has concluded and it's being reported that it's a "Smashing Success". Essentially games bought were up and revenue was up. But I think whether or not it's a success depends on who you were ( Read more... )

The only things I bought during the Steam sale were the second two Lords of Shadow games (Mirror of Fate and LoS2) and then, later, a couple of other games that cost around $0.50 a piece. So, yeah, the Steam sale this year did barely a thing for me, especially since I don't give the slightest fuck about cards or gems or whatever. Then again, I also didn't pay any attention to GOG's sale either.

I'm just not buying nearly as many games as I used to, even with the 75% or greater discounts. But then, that's kind of a good thing, since as it stands now, I'll never ever play through all the games I already have on Steam/GOG, even if I lived to be multiple hundreds of years old.
