i have opted out of going to see a few friends play a show in south philly, instead i am turning the heat up wayy high (we still aren't sure who's paying for our heat, but it's definitely not us), make biscotti from the cook book robert gave me for christmas and read and write some letters (we still don't have a mail box key, either).

today i was talking to my mom on the phone while walking around the italian market and she told me she thinks i either have seasonal depression or an iron deficiency. oh boy

i bought aniseeds and currants and rye flour and lots of yummy things to make breads with and oranges and lemons to juice! bread oven is going to be working hard soon.

the lights in rittenhouse look so pretty at night. it's warm out and all i want to do is trudge around on the damp pavement and be in there. instead, i gotta do things. you know.

Our apartment is pretty nice, but as of now very lonely. Alicia is not planning on moving in for awhile, at least two weeks, i think (i hope she changes her mind). I realized this afternoon when I was trying to make lunch that I left my can opener, knives, and all my cutlery in Baltimore.
