Michael Brad was telling me about this Russian guy that works with him (he fled during the cold war). For conversation's sake, Mike asked him what his favourite cereal was to which the guy responded that they didn't have breakfast cereals in Russia (at the time he lived there at least). The Czech Republic was devoid of cereal as we know it before that velvet shit happened also. But the Czech republic was sort of the 'great west' of the Communist countries, Russia and the further east you went, the worse off people were. And Communist toilet paper? Enough to give you splinters.

they still have that toilet paper here. I buy the pink industrial toilet paper, it's not much better but it's less rough, I mean when you get brought up in a country where they make cushioned, perfumed, softened, and layered toilet paper...

On the other hand, there's more to life then cushioned, perfumed, softened, and layered toilet paper, thankfully.
