This morning my writing genie incarnated itself into my daughter* and said 'Mum, after breakfast I will do some writing, not watch TV. Because that's what writers do. They write instead of watching TV

Never mind about her turning out like you. At present you are her heroine, make the most of it, another six to eight years and you could be her nemesis! Then it's another six to eight years before she starts to see reason.
BTW - as Oscar Wilde said, 'All women become like their mothers.' the best we can do is try to give them a good example - like writing instead of watching TV. I have yet to see this with D (becoming like me) and she'll probably be disgusted, but there we are.
