Hello! I might be one of the biggest wannabe Oxonians ever. I'll be in my last year at Northwestern University in Chicago in the fall, studying vocal performance and musicology. I'm hoping to apply to do at least the MSt in musicology for the 2009-2010 year. I'm also applying for a Fulbright and a Rhodes, just to see if anything happens there ( Read more... )

I'm at New College, and thus biased, but thought I'd mention something you possibly might not know: as of autumn 2009, the Warden (head) of New College will be Sir Curtis Price, who is currently Principal of the Royal Academy of Music. So the college's focus on music looks set to continue!

St Peter's is a young, small college, but they do offer music funding and there are a load of music people there -- the choir is fabulous, but look out there because they typically don't accept graduates into it. Having said that, however, the St Peter's practice room is lovely, and the MCR is superb.

Also, St Peter's graduate accommodation is at Cambridge Terrace, which is just across the road from the music faculty.
