Reminds me of my mom, in a way. She’s more open minded about things (as far as her daughters and granddaughters bring LGBTQ+ at least), but there have been conversations about tattoos that have made me go, “mom, it’s really okay.”

I generally love tattoos (and have thought about one for myself), but admit to feeling a small jolt of "what? why?!" when my kid came home sporting one for the first time. Now he has three and it's like, whatever floats your boat, kiddo.

Also mildly relieved that someone else has a sex in a cemetery story. :P

my mom is the total opposite [she'd be at the tattoo place taking pics 😂], but I absolutely have had friends whose moms would have had a similar reaction, so I too could absolutely hear this convo taking place!

My mother didn't talk to me for five days when I got my second tattoo. She seemed to think it was a great betrayal. She also got over it after a few days tho.
