I’ve wanted to do so much on my spring break, but I worked this on the 3 most vital days of guaranteed entertainment from the beginning of my break (this past Sat-Mon.) My spring break is over on Tuesday, 5 more days, & I haven't been doing much but working, school-related work, & now, lazily lounging around. I worked through Calle Ocho (a huge, ( Read more... )

Thanks, I appreciate it. ^_^ I think the Renaissance Fair ends in a couple of days, but I don't think I'll be able to attend. Looking at your userinfo, I see you're an "el-jay n00bi3" LOL. March 3rd was my 1st yr anniversary for my journal. So my journal is a year & 14 days old. Anyways, welcome to my LJ.

Bush financed the invasion with the future oil profits from Iraq's fields. Combine that and the obscene amount of money going into contractors pockets for bribes and pocket lining and it wil be years before Iraqi oil turns a profit the US can use.

the invasion wasn't about lower gas prices, it was about mobilizing billions to keep the economy from collapsing like the house of cards it is.

afterall, the first Gulf War saw gas go from .88 per gallon before to 1.50 per gallon after and it never went back down, even when the US was buying all the oil that came out of there...

Thanks for the info. I especially didn't know about the 88 cents to $1.50 jump. I mean, I knew the invasion was due in part to Bush's personal oil interests, but I thought it was more of a distraction from not finding Osama, since many Americans are easily fooled by politics, & also I thought it was b/c he was trying to pick up where daddy left off. There's probably a lot more conspiracy behind it then we'll ever know, but whatever.

picking up where daddy left off and distracting from osama are definitely involved. most wars have a number of simultaneous issues involved, mobilizing cash to keep the economy afloat is just one facet of the things involved.

other issues would be permanent bases from which to dominate the middle east, keeping iraqi oil trade in dollars instead of euros (which saddam tried to switch to before the invasion), and sending the message to other dictators that if they behave in a way the US doesn't like, the US has the will to step in and mess them up.

and even that only scratches the surface of the things going on behind the invasion.

Hehe...curry goat isn't all that. I want to try curry duck!

Poor Donovan, he didn't get to go to Unite A Fest...I didn't "get on bad" as I should've, but the entertainment/performance quality was surprisingly subpar than what they've had in previous years. How does tassa & steel pan become more entertaining than Anand Yankarran, the Florida Melody Makers and King Observer? Don't know!

a good curry duck will cure whatever ails you. A good curry duck will have you licking your elbows.

tassa and steel pan is boss, dred! don't get tie up. I love my tassa and steelpan till ah dead.

sorry, i'm a little overzealous about my country right now. partly coz psych projects have clipped my wings for the next 2 weeks, so i couldn't go out now even if i had means and desire to. absence makes the heart grow fonder
