Don't tell anyone but we were practicing so we could try shooting the rabbits (they're a pest in Australia) when they came out at dusk. Only one was brave enough to come out, though, so we didn't have much success.

It's been a tradition to make mulberry and apricot jam around Christmas Day because that's when the fruiting of the apricot and mulberry trees overlaps at my parents' place.

I sometimes do preserving too, but you need to devote a whole morning or afternoon to it, and you need an large quantity of fruit to make it worthwile, and none of my parents' trees were in full crop so I didn't bother this year. It's lots of fun though!

If I were practicing archery it would probably be for picking off the screeching neighbour kid, so your secret is safe with me. ;-)
