You know what's weird? I was just thinking that LJ hadn't seen much Jessee in a while when I refreshed the page and up pops this entry.
Taking a "big step" moving in with someone you're involved with is only so dramatic if you couldn't be friends anyways. Not that Chris and I are having problems or anything, but I was never really scared doing it, because I always knew that if we broke up we could still be buds. Jordan (not to mention you) is too cool for that to not work.
I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. At least you got to know him. Both of mine died before I could say "Hi". Apparently people often say strange, hurtful things when they're closing in on the last curtain, so I wouldn't let it get to you. Well, I don't know if you can "not let it", but I'm sure you get my meaning.
Missing her is prolonging the pain. Better to let it scab over and accept (even enjoy) the scar than pick it to hell and make it that much worse. Unless I'm not reading in to this correctly, in which case you can disregard that.
Thanks Jake. You are pretty much a font of wisdom and reassurance and I think that I may rely on this heavily in the coming year. Feel free to do the same though I doubt that I can be as rational and levelheaded. I needed to hear all of this, right now. Thank you.
One of the last things my grandma said to me before she died was that I didn't care enough about her... I don't know if I can offer any advice on how to deal with that, because I still really can't, but know that I'm there too, and if you need- i'm only a phone call away. Really.
And as for the big step- sometimes you just know that something's right. And no matter what bumps or lulls or spaces that happen in between, if underneath it all you know that it makes you happy, everything will work out just fine.

And for the moving in thing, its pretty sweet. The only down sides are that you will hear all the gross noises boys make in showers (not sexy), you will have a much harder time escaping being constantly groped, and you will usually have an audience whenever you are changing, which is only a problem when you are wearing really old ugly underwear.
Plus, you know that I am going to be really sad and lonely, so we will try to make as many girl weekends of it as we can! <3<3<3
