Unfortunately, a finer distinction on the argument, regardless of questions of choice, is whether homosexuality is acquired, as the psychologists say, by nature or by nurture. Until somebody finds the DNA sequence that makes somebody a homo, the haters can argue that conditions in society (bad parenting, exposure to harmful ideas like "it's ok to like boys") can warp a child's mind into believing that they are homosexual, and therefore they can later be "cured" out of it by trying to reverse those influences.

They're just jealous of our fantastic sense of fashion and so they retaliate by taking away the only they we want.

Yeah, it's cool, whatever. I'm going to get married one day whether its legal or not and those idiots are still going to have to see me walking down the street holding hands with my hubby. Joke's on them!

but seriously, the argument i always present is: i never woke up one day in my early puberty and chose to like boys, so i doubt anyone else (male or female) did either.
