'Bout friggin' time, I say. Time for a party! December 6th is a day that will live in infamy: Courtney has regained her soul!

Here here! The one I had been using to fill the space was this shriveled cold dark thing that hated the whole of humanity.

The one I had before was much better. Vintage souls rule!

Ahh, 1982 Soul. It was a good year for soul... I'm glad you found yourself a bottle.

Of course, I prefer the 1981 Soul. :P

Good for you! You must feel so much happier already, knowing that the end is in sight.

I'm planning to check out my first Neil Gaiman book on my next trip to the library. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I guess my Neil suggestion would depend on what you're looking for.

A fairytale adventure/romance? Stardust

A modern day romp through mythology (and middle America)? American Gods

A unique tale and even more original characters? Neverwhere

Armaggedon mets the Omen with a quirky twist? Good Omens

I would advise against Anansi Boys. It's like an inferior version of American Gods to be honest.

Well, I think Anansi Boys makes more sense if you read American Gods first. But I wouldn't call it inferior, per se.

My two cents? Neverwhere. It's got Londoners, wonderful main characters and awesomely creepy evildoers. :)

I second Neverwhere as well, being it's the only one of Neil's books I've read thus far in my life.

I'm walking on sunshine as opposed to walking on fire.

This is awesome!

For the first time in a long while I don't have this feeling of dread and bitterness in my soul. I'm not cycling through bouts of depression. I'm happy, I'm easy-going, I'm smiling, and I'm content.

This is the best version of me I've been in a while.
