Resignation - Day 2 of 21

I woke up today with the best feeling I've had in months.  The feeling of inevitability.

It’s fantastic to know that I’m getting on with my life.  I didn’t appreciate how much of my existence, my happiness, felt on hold until I took out the biggest thing holding it all back - a dead-end, thankless job.  I don’t know if this is the most adult ( Read more... )

Obviously, the benefits of quitting far outweigh dealing with a possible negative reaction from your parents. Call me selfish, but I think you've reached a stage in your life where it should be your own. Your parents will get over your claim to independence eventually.

Besides, they'll still have Erin and two dogs. Not like they're being abandoned or anything... :P
