Biology (and school in general)

I just took my second biology test. I don't think it went as well as the first one, which is funny considering my professor tried to make this one easier. I didn't have quite as much time to study for this one though, which sucks since he gave us a list of essay questions that were likely to be on the test ( Read more... )

Scientific studies must be taken with a grain of salt or more runningfree December 1 2007, 05:04:00 UTC
In reference to your 'random note', does this refer to skin cancer only or did he say? Does this mean albinos should never go on swing shifts? Is this some scam study, sponsored by tanning salons? He didn't really tell me any details ... funny though, just yesterday I was watching a show on my TiVo and one of the commercials for the news that night mentioned that very study. I'll have to look into it.

I hope your cold/flu is gone now.

My biology project is going to be on atavism. I think that it's something that not everyone in class will know about.

I should get to bed soon. Take care.

Haha, I'm not hiding anything ... I just thought it would be a fun topic for which I could show interesting pictures that would keep the class entertained. I will mention in my presentation the fact that syndactyly runs in parts of my family (though no one in my immediate family ... but some cousins and aunts on my mom's side ( ... )
