Superbowl Sunday

Feb 03, 2008 15:21

Between Friday and Saturday, I worked a total of 26 1/2 hours (more than a day in 48 hours!), finishing out the week at just under 62 hours total. It was a crazy, exhausting weekend, and I'm all too happy about the fact that we are closed for Superbowl Sunday. It actually means that I get an extra day off this week, which will be quite nice ( Read more... )

Has Jayme ever demonstrated this type of behaviour before? It definitely sounds bizarre even for a drunk person, and I'm sure I'd be a little concerned if one of my friends was saying so many things that were obviously not true. Have you had a chance to talk to her since?

You just might have gotten my record, if so, not by very much. As long as you're getting some satisfaction from the work you're doing it shouldn't be such a toll. Unfortunately, this past year I've put in too many hours at times with little to no satisfaction or feeling of accomplishment in return. I think this semester will have some rewarding moments however. At least I certainly hope so.

Were you pleased with the outcome of the Superbowl? I don't know why exactly but I was rooting for the Giants.

Time for a bit more supper and then maybe an on-line game of poker, as I must keep my 'skills' sharp for Saturday's live game. ;-)

Hope you have an enjoyable couple of days off. Take care.

I know plenty of people who have done stuff like that before. Well, maybe not quite to that degree, but given enough alcohol, a lot of people come up with some outlandish stories.

I only really watched the last 5 minutes of the superbowl ... I don't care much for football, and since I had no money riding on the game, it didn't matter much. Hehe. We were drinking beer and watching the food network for most of the day.

Time to get ready for work. Take care.

Things were looking pretty grim for the longest time at the poker table tonight, but I finally managed to get some reasonable hands on a more regular basis and I ended up winning $140 off of a $20 buy-in. :-)

I found it tough to adjust to the realistic odds of live play after playing so much better-than-average odds on the internet site.

It dropped to well below -50 degrees celcius here last night. I couldn't believe it when I read my thermometer this morning. One of the teachers from school said it was -57 at their house at 6:30 a.m. Needless to say, my car did not start today. At least it's only about -30 now and is supposed to warm-up somewhat over the next few days. I've got my battery charging so hopefully I can get my car started tomorrow and head into town to do a bit of shopping.

For now though, I guess I better get to bed. Have a great weekend, or what's left of it.

Congrats on winning $120! I still haven't gambled in quite some time ...

Wow, that is insanely cold. It's actually warming up here ... we got through our rainy time, and now it's been sunny and pretty nice (but insanely windy!).

I just got home and am exhausted. I picked up a bottle of wine to relax ... tomorrow will be an extremely long day.

Take care.
