I'm nervous, but not really nervous.  I think it's more my excitement being suppressed into nervousness because I want to sleep at night.  Otherwise ( Read more... )

We'll be in Barcelona from 9:30am until we board the ship a week from Monday (January 26th). !!!!!! I have no idea what we'll do once we arrive there if they don't let us board until 2:00pm or something. Maybe we'll just walk around?

Terrorism isn't a huge thing in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood is the most organized, and they don't support terrorism.

Just think, in a little over a week, you'll be on another side of the world.

I know! I can't believe it!

I would think that if terrorism were a big issue, they would've informed us ahead of time and probably picked another destination. It's still fun to pretend like we're going to be in danger. :) Makes it more exciting.

Well, there's always a threat everywhere. Especially for Americans. But I wouldn't worry about i.

My Dad's most recent cruise had a port in Morroco. He liked it better than he thought he would - he wasn't looking forward to it - but he said he felt very, very out of place as a white American Christian. I asked him how, as a WASP, it felt to be a minority for once.
