I have just made an horrific error of judgement whilst taking a break from writing chapter 5 of my redux. I clicked on to this link and read about the world's worst fanfic. How bizarre, no wonder this has put you off writing, surely it was a parody. Have now seen your previous entry when you said you were going on a world trip and seen your latest reply to me, wow, that's really exciting. I'm sure that you will make many amazing memories to take back to Australia with you :)

So, I just had to click on that link and read the article. It was very entertaining but I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to take a look at the fic itself :-)

Yeah, don't. I'm pretty sure my IQ went down to nothing after the first few sentences. It is so painful I don't want to read Harry Potter ever again. The article made me laugh though.

Don't do it! The article is funny but the story makes you inarticulate, which is dangerous when you are trying to write :) I can't believe it comes up in Google when you type 'world's worst fic'

I'm not going to try to read the story, but just reading the article had me laughing so hard I could barely breathe! And I had to call my bff and share it with her because she's big into HP and I thought she'd appreciate it.

Yeah, don't read the story. It makes your brain hurt. I was crying with laughter when I read that article, especially the picture which I have made into an icon for your viewing :)

Oh my goodness, I remember reading part of that fic ages ago! It really does hurt the brain. Even thinking about it again, I'm simultaneously laughing and cringing...

I am maxing out this icon-usage...! Yes, the fic itself isn't actually as funny as the artcile, though there are some very comical spelling mistakes and also about half way through she suddenly burns her "beta" (I use that term very loosely), who has obviously wronged her. Well, unless all author's notes should credit your beta with being a muthaf**kin biyatch... :)
