Fillers?

Hi all.

Just wondering what you all use to fill amigurumi's or toys? I've only ever used fibrefil or something of the like. Have any of you used rice or beans or anything and where do you even get those bean things?

I use polyfil usually, but if I want something to have a bit of weight to it to help it sit I sometimes put rice inside a pouch made from old stockings. I've got no idea where to get the beans from either!

Yeah I'm gonna give the rice thing a go. I want to make the 10 pin bowls [shaped like penguins] for my friend's son, so I think I might put some rice in the bottom and the rest polyfil.
