You've portrayed Chris at his wonderfully manipulative best and Beecher's frustration with his antics is practically tangible. Some nice foreshadowing in here for the end of the series too. Well done!

Oh, this was great! What an interesting missing scene. Now that I think about it, it's odd that we never saw Chris really tempted by drugs in Oz, since we know he's a recovering addict. This story fills in that gap nicely.

I love how you wrote high!Chris--his internal voice battling his external one, and how he's having trouble distinguishing what's real and what might be imagined. Love the hint of humor throughout the piece, too.

And I think I squeed a bit when they both reverted back to calling each other by their first names. I'm such a sucker for that. :-)
