It's a beautiful sunny day here, and that's very good news. I'll get more done, and get it done more easily.

I don't have a big clutter problem, but I know well the intensity of the attachment. Something to consider is that it might not be the objects themselves, but the memories they trigger, that are so compelling. I find that if I take a digital photo of something, I can enjoy the photo whenever I like without actually owning the object anymore. With cameras that can photograph a whole newspaper page in a second, you can make photography part of the process and let go of the things more easily.

I have a very fancy digital camera -- which I've never been able to figure out how to use. But I agree with your excellent advice, all the same.
