Am just trying this Semagic thing... I know of people on my f-list who use it but I've never tried it before. Is there a good basic intro to it somewhere? Like how to have it logged into more than one journal at the one time, or switch easily without having to type in journals and passwords all the time?

There really is no tutorial that i know of. to be logged into one account at a time. But I have umpteen different muse journals here on LJ. When I log into one, it has a pulldown of all the different ones off to the right. You will see it in the upper right hand corner. You can toggle easily between them if you have had the program save your password for each of your accounts.
I hope that helps. :-)

I can't see the different journals pulldown, but am thinking that might be because I've only logged into this one in Semagic so far... maybe if I log in to the others using it it will add them?

You may not have all the toolbars in view. Let me give you a rundown of the options I have selected. You may not be seeing them all. Under your pull down menus in your program (when you are logged on to one of your accounts) Go under view. Select Toolbars. Check all of them. So that is Main, Formatting and Journal. The line where you choose which journal will have Subject, Journal and Reset on it. The one that changes which journal you are in is on the right hand side next to the reset button.
Also under view you want to have the following checked so that you see them: Post Options; Subject; Active Journal; Post Preivew; Dat & Time.
Hang in there. We'll get you talked through. You will be a vetran Semagic user in no time! :)
I have over twenty different ones and the program saved em all. :)

I'll give all that a go you've suggested when I get home - kids are waiting for me to take them bowling, and my net connection is still being a complete pain, dropping out every few minutes for anything from a few seconds to at least 10 minutes, and they don't have any foul weather/storms/etc to blame so I'm ready to tear my hair out. Will go and have some fun with the kids before coming back to tackle this more.
Thanks for your help! Greatly appreciated.
