Went to see this movie with numero duo and we both loved it.

I can understand why it's probably not something a lot of people won't 'get' it - it's very 'Baz' (think Moulin Rougue and you'll probably understand what I mean). I want to see this so bad. I loved Romeo & Juliet, loved Moulin Rouge. He's a stunning visual artist and I can't wait to see what he does.

Plus, David Wenham! Hugh Jackman! How can you not wanna see them?!?

Exactly! It's not that 'in your face' smashed over the head sort of movie. It's storytelling of the visual variety and yes, the visual appreciation is for more than just Austalia!

Hugh is just stunning! 'That' scene, the water bucket? In about the first 15mins!! *g*

Just keep in mind there's a reason the US critics are panning it... it's not the Hollywood definition of a blockbuster. I don't want to hype it too much because it's just not that kind of extravaganza. Just the outback isn't everyone's 'cuppa tea'.
