First thing I want to say - could any more people die? Shit.
I expected more from this book. Mostly because it's the last one.
It started off great. I loved that Dudley came around and that we got to find out about Dumbledore's past, but towards the end... I don't know. It might've been the cheesy-ness of the epilogue. Sure, I'm glad it ended happily ever after, but "Albus Severus", "James", "Lily"!? That just screams out bad fan-fiction. I can't believe she ended such a great series with that. When I read this again, I think I'm going to ignore the epilogue.
- I loved the part with Harry saying goodbye to the Dursley's. Especially with Vernon asking to see CVs.
- omfg, Hedwig. Was that really necessary?
- 'We didn't hear stories like that when we were little, we heard Snow White and the Seven Dwaves and Cinderella -'
'What's that, an illness?' asked Ron
Oh, Ron. I'm so happy that he and Hermione survived.
- Aw, Kreacher.
- The portraits - Luna is so sweet.
- Dobby! =(
- The Grey Lady and the Bloody Baron? Wow.
- FRED!
- LUPIN! I'm really cut about this.
- Lily and Snape? Not really sure how I feel about that... though I can say, thank god she didn't take it in the 'Harry being the love child of Lily and Snape' direction. Had that happened, I would've thrown the book out the window or choked from shock and laughter.
- Significance of Harry having his mother's eyes - ...wait, that's it? Seriously?
- 'NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!' First 'arse', now 'bitch'. Hah! I really liked this scene. It was great to see Molly take action. I expected Neville to be the one who fought against Bellatrix, but this works too.
- Scoripus, lmao. Oh, man, I still can't believe she ended it like that.
It's weird. I finished the book hours ago, but the fact that it's over hasn't sunk in yet.
