I have not recently sent, nor authorised, any repetitive emails/requests from WooMe.com to be sent out. I am no longer, since last year, a member of that site due to their habit of sending out unauthorised emails from my old account, which amounts to an apparent spamming practice

It seems these type of things happen with your email way more often than with most people. Perhaps you should assess the practice of allowing new 'networks' access to your address book? It seems fraught with danger. (I also received a WooMe email from your address.)

I hear that ... Actually this was a really old one (I don't do that with new ones) - and they are addressing the problem (as per the above edit). Interesting seeing as I am no longer a 'member' though.
