Yay early nineties music. I was actually just listening to Sunny Day Real Estate and thinking to myself, "boy, rock music sure used to be a lot sadder and more entrapping." Now days, it's all just fun, but back in the day, I don't know, we we're a depressed bunch of kids I guess.

i didn't even get into sunny day real estate until after my 'depressed' phase was already over, which is unfortunate, since they practically invented emo pop. there's plenty of sad music out there these days, but it's usually masquerading as 'tough guy tunes' (see any nu-metal that gets radio play).

i guess rock music today is mostly fun and games, but sometimes it wants to get back to the spirit of early-nineties grunge... and it doesn't quite have the same effect.

Heard a lot of good things about Last Days. So you'd recommend it. Bizarre sounds right up my alley.
