Person of Interest & Sleepy Hollow

How does Person of Interest keep getting better?

Person of Interest has never exactly been lighthearted. Humorous, yes, but not lighthearted. First episode of the third season and it already feels darker and grittier than before. Still has that edge of humor, but the feeling of impending doom is palpable. Something awful is going to happen and it's going to be wonderful fun waiting to see which problem blows up first.

Love Carter. She's a cop, no matter what. Her secret investigative wall was completely right. She'd never stop looking for answers, no matter the personal consequences to herself. Reese trying to be sensitive was also amusing and touching at the same time. He knows something is going on with her, but he knows better than to try and force the truth from her. He's pretty damn smart to leave the door open for her to walk through when she's ready.

Didn't see much of Fusco, but loved what little we got of him. Fusco saved the day!

I like Shaw. I see some interesting parallels between her and Root. Both of them need to change. Both of them are too dangerous to just be let loose to wreak havoc. I wonder how successful the Machine is going to be with Root. Or Reese and Finch with Shaw.

Sleepy Hollow

Two episodes in and I'm in love! So much cheese-tastic fun! Both episodes felt rushed, but that's pretty common nowadays when shows have to be hits right out of the gate, or risk cancellation before the end of the season. I'm pretty sure Sleepy Hollow will be a keeper. I'll probably have more to say next week.
