oz_big_bang is on hiatus this year. All three mods are involved in other projects. I'm sorry we can't have it this year, but I'm still very much interested in running a fest or two between now and oz_magi. I hope a lot of other Ozzies are interested as well ( Read more... )

How about a mash up of a mini-reverse-bang, where the art comes first, with maybe a call for prompts to work from but the artist would not necessarily be bound to use them. Or... something the apocalypse_kree - have a call for prompts and then artists and writers could pick one or more. No real word limits - drabbles, ficlets, fics, epics... whatever the participant wants.

But really, I'm up for anything!

I did Graffixation twice, and it was really successful. Everyone had fun -- as far as I know! :D

I'm kind of thinking of something simpler, probably a prompt fest, but I was wondering if anyone was interested in a specific theme, or style.

This sounds great, I'm up to something like that. Working based on prompts is easier and if there's no strict min word count, maybe more people could participate.

No word limit sounds great, Can't write longer pieces even if I want to. But shorter pieces are fine. And some sort of prompts is great, and inspiring.

Definitely no word limits. And if looks like a prompt fest is what everyone is interested in. Probably start the beginning of June...

I really liked our Free for Alls. You can do as much (or as little, perhaps a minimum of one thing) as you want, and there's always a wide variety of prompts (genres & characters). Being able to ask for art is nice. I'd also like something like Graffixation but -- like, maybe partners collab on art/fic, so it wouldn't be an exchange, exactly. Like -- I can't remember the name of the comm. It's like 'art words' or something. Teams of four (or however many) work on art together to go along with fic that's been collaborated on too. It was something in SGA because dressedindeath participated a few times and everything was always so freaking pretty. I also voted for a mini bang, because since we're not having B3 it might be cool to have something to fill that void (and that could be fic and art together again as well ( ... )

All of those things sound way cool. Already looked at the parole board..there's a ton of great unused prompts. Did a story for an unused 2010 magi thing..it sort of begged to be written. Ahem.

I do like Free for Alls, and it looks like the voting is leaning that way. The art collaboration sounds pretty amazing too, and I remember them from SGA.

I'm not sure yet if I'll be allowing six degree fandoms yet. The list is getting pretty long, and some of the shows have pretty big fandoms of their own.
