[leans on the door frame; smiles] Lose something?

[garrett_cain]

[glances up from a pile of papers; smiles] No, I'm cleaning and filing and sorting through stuff I can archive. [glances at the piles of papers; sighs] I'm gonna need another pot of coffee.

[cj_cain]

[grins] Coffee, I can make. [nods toward the pile] Need help?

[garrett_cain]

[he smiles] Anything older than two annuals needs to go in that box to be archived.

[cj_cain]

[shrugs] I don't know. I don't think so. Well [nods] she loves New Central the same as she does Ruby Creek, so.. in a way, yes.

[garrett_cain]

[he's about to comment when his stomach growls; eyes widen] Oh, I reckon it's time for a break. You hungry?

[cj_cain]

[his eyes narrow at the odd sound, then he laughs] I'm a Cain. I'm always hungry.

[garrett_cain]

Good. Let's go raid the icebox.

[cj_cain]

[glances over his shoulder then double-takes; shouts over the wind] Why are you slowing down?

[garrett_cain]

[shouts back] Don't you know anythin' about racin'?

[cj_cain]

[makes a face; leans down to talk to Leah] Don't you dare hurt yourself to show Chance up. He's only showin' off to get your attention. [pats her neck]

[garrett_cain]

[he sees the road to town along the treeline, so he starts to slow Chance down. He straightens up and glances around to see if there are any travelers on the road.]

[cj_cain]

[raises an eyebrow] You chasing guys away from Leora already?

[garrett_cain]

For their protection, yes. [smirks]

[cj_cain]

[laughs] You and Scott put her and Diz in the same room, that's on you. [shakes his head]

[garrett_cain]

Yeah, well... [snorts] it's like releasing Hilary and El in the world at the same time.
