Albeit at around 4:45 this morning, but finished all the same, in about 6 hours. Its a pretty damned good read, actually... except for the ending. The classicist's injokes are good, the puns as usual awful and yet awesome. But the ending, quite a long section at the end in fact, just left me... cold. I'm sorry, but it did. A very disappointing

The other thing I was just thinking though, was that the author intended to tie up all the loose ends she'd created, so I expected that A things would speed up as we neared the end, and secondly that no new things would be added - thus making the ending less exciting that the begining, but I wouldn't really have wanted it any other way. I'd have hated it if she left loads of unanswered questions.
