China is not blocking Google, Google blocks Google. I can verify that using Google.cn and Google.com bring about very different results.

I find the idea of a company censoring itself, and being willing to help block the truth about a massacre, just to gain access to a larger user base repugnant, and I no longer really wish to give them a supporter. Which is a shame, because they have such nifty tools. D:

(To be fair, there is evidence that Google gives different results if you use sneaky terms, but it's still really not enough (for me) to have them doing that when they're dealing with one of the largest violators of human rights. I'm not calling for a mass migration, I just want to shift away personally.)

Huh. Every story I heard had it be China's fault that google has different search results on the Chinese version of the site, not google's... but I admit I don't know a whole lot about it O.o
