I, for whatever reason, cannot bring myself to be greatly upset by Michael Jackson's death. I am saddened, yes, but...there really didn't seem to be any other way for him to go, yanno? A sad man, with a sad death.

That siren sounds like the tornado ones here and a lawnmower had strange, earpiercing babies. Now I wonder what breed we've got near my house...

The whole Iran thing is depressing as hell, though at the same time it gives me hope to see that no matter how a government tries, crap like this gets out now. There is no stopping the internet.

I'm more upset about Iran than MJ, too. But then, I was never a huge fan >.> Though I will admit, some of the things coming out-- how sheltered and mentally abused he was, how just plain weird-- are thought-provoking, too.

OH MAN THAT IS FREAKY. I pulled up the vid in a new tab, but the sound didn't start right away so I went back to LJ, then all of the sudden it started up. I WAS NOT PREPARED. Scary- makes our weather emergency sirens sound pathetic.

All we can really do is hope and pray... there's no way the Iranian government can get away with this. No. Freakin'. Way. I hope...

The most interesting part is all the alarm enthustiast commenting below. ^^ We have no such alarms up here that I know of because blizzards are not as unexpected, it seems.

The coverage MJ death has me rolling my eyes, because I can see Iran getting bulldozed out of the way and it almost seems that nothing can be done to stop it. When someone reffed his death as a "sure to be historic event"...yeeeeeeah.
