Economist Milton Friedman dies at age 94It's hard to understate how important this guy has been in influencing academic thought this century... not to mention his influence on my passion for economics. I agree with you wholeheartedly, scott. His book "Capitalism and Freedom" changed by view of economics and the free-market dramatically. I wouldn't consider myself his sycophant (I guess no one would consider himself a sycophant!!), but he has always had my utmost respect. I just watched his discussion of limited government on an old show called "Open Minds"; you can watch it here. The man is sharp, and persuasive.
